The name derived from the Rastafarians in Jamaica, "Irie" loosely means good, happy, pleasant and this yacht is aptly named. This team is fabulous and ably upholds the tradition set by so many charters previously completed on this very yacht. There is reason for that...she is extraordinarily comfortable having been built specifically for the purpose of chartering by Ted Irwin. She is very airy and offers full Air conditioning as well.
Captain Robert holds a 100 ton US Coast Guard License, and has sailed extensively over the past 5 years in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands including a trip to South America. Most recently, he completed an 8 month trans-Atlantic loop on a 28ft. Irwin dubbed RamblinRose.
The voyage included the Azores, Portugal, Spain, Morrocco and Madeira. He has some excellent stories to tell and not only about this. He is competent and full of fun.
Talented Chef Katia when not creating masterpieces in the galley is teaching you watercoloring if you wish. Her experiences and training in the world of the arts successfully translate to her culinary presentations as you will see. Her meals are brilliant and delicious with a Russo-European flair.
